About Us

Powering Faster Product Launches

At Sweft, we’re on a mission to help retailers recover billions in revenues lost annually due to product launch delays. New products get stuck In-Stock, Not-Online (ISNO) as fragmented systems stall getting inventory ready for sale when it arrives in warehouses, resulting in substantial lost sales and margin.

That’s why we built Sweft, the first Workflow Automation platform purpose-built to turbocharge new product launch for retailers.

Sweft seamlessly connects merchandising, marketing, creative, technology, and operations to accelerate launches and maximize sales. Our founders have hands-on experience tackling these issues for leading brands.

Founding Story

After building and scaling Anthropologie.com to over $200 million in sales, Sweft co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Michael Robinson struggled with a major inventory challenge. When doubling the product assortment one summer, over $1 million in new inventory never even made it online.

Michael brought the team together to diagnose the issues. It turned out that every part of the workflow had broken down at some point. Fixing individual areas didn't work – problems persisted.

It became clear they needed a systemic solution to connect their fragmented processes and get off error-prone spreadsheets. Michael's custom internal platform solved these issues at Anthropologie. As success grew, it rolled out across the entire Urban Outfitters brand portfolio.

After leaving Anthropologie, Michael was surprised to find retailers worldwide struggled with similar problems but lacked solutions. Combining his firsthand experience and unique vantage of retail's interconnected ecosystems, Michael knew there was a massive $300 billion market opportunity.

He founded Sweft to replicate his proven formula on an enterprise scale. The Sweft platform seamlessly connects merchandising, marketing, creative, technology, and operations onto a unified Workflow Automation platform. This brings complete visibility into product status and launch priorities across departments.

Just as the original internal platform drove tremendous growth at Anthropologie, Sweft now powers product launch success for leading retailers worldwide. But for Michael, this is just the beginning of revolutionizing retail productivity from the inside out.

Today, Sweft delivers 50%+ faster launch cycles by automating redundant tasks and synchronizing teams. Top retailers like Rockler Woodworking and Harry Rosen trust Sweft to maximize sales from new product releases.

We are based in Philadelphia, PA and Oxford, UK and backed by investors passionate about reinventing retail.
